It's been a rough week so it was wonderful news to hear that my friend G had her baby boys - twins! They are all happy and healthy and definitely beautiful.

Charlie said her goodbyes here the other day. It was hard to read the email my mom sent Friday morning and I'll admit that I had a good cry. It's always hard to say goodbye but it was her time.

We had a Christmas staff party early in December where the theme was awards night - VIP. So out came the little black dress.

I spent most of Christmas 2012 working but there was one night where I had the time to hang out with my friends.

We were only 8 for dinner (the rest came afterwards) but we ended up making enough food for 20. Crazy miscalculation.

But it was lots of fun!!

We just started our elective - workshop, nature and technique. So we built bird houses. It was freaking cold and I'll admit it, I wasn't in the mood when we first got there.

But once we got started, it wasn't too bad. Sawing and hammering are not my true talents but it was fun to try.

And now I have a bird house on my floor in my living room...
