Right now I'm at Anders' place and we're both being geeks on our computers. A nice quiet Sunday. No parties this weekend so I was able to get lots of cleaning and stuff done at home today. Kinda boring but definitely needed...

Work is going really good, I'm so glad I made that decision of working fulltime and taking on a new career path. Definitely the smartest thing I've done in a long time. I've just been super busy because I'm still working at the youth club in Norup which means I work most of my evenings during the week. Next week will be the same except that I'm also working Saturday night at a youth party in Jelling - I'm taking all the hours I can get to save up for my summer holidays!

I have pretty much nothing more to say. My life consists of work and teenagers but I'm happy for that because that means I miss out on the silly drama stuff that usually finds me. I'm tired of bitchy people and I'm tired of drama and I'm tired of being blamed for things that is completely not true. My life is really good right now - I have a great job that could very well lead into something more permanent. I have a great boyfriend who is very understanding about my work hours and treats me like a princess. I have great friends here who are also very understanding about my work hours and understand that I can't hang out too much anymore. My family and friends are happy and healthy and that's all that counts.

Yes, today was a positive post. I'm happy and I just want everyone to know that.

Here are some videos I took using my digital camera so people over in Canada can see how I live. I know that my parents are somewhat curious and I can imagine that my grandparents would also like to see my apartment. Sorry for the jiggling of the camera!

Here's a happy post!

Jonna and Brian's newest addition to their family was born yesterday and from what I've heard from them, everything is all good and little Mathilde is healthy and beautiful! We weren't able to visit them last night because Anders had a Valentine's Day surprise and took me out for a nice dinner at a fancy restaurant. He came and picked me up wearing nice clothes - looking very hot - and wouldn't tell me where we were going. I'm glad I changed out of my "work" clothes before he came - I was wearing ratty jeans and a sweatshirt with paint all over it! We shared a bottle of wine, ate some good food and had a good time just talking. Afterwards, we bought some goodies and watched a movie at his place. We got sleepy after the wine so it was nice just being able to relax and cuddle while watching a movie. Valentine's Day isn't a normal Danish tradition here but has become more popular in the past 5 years or so.

So I had a great day yesterday - a good day at work, Mathilde was born and Anders and I were able to spend some quiet time together.

Ok, I need some ideas from you guys! The Danish Halloween (Fastelavn) is just around the corner and I need a costume idea. We're all getting dressed up on Monday at work and I need a costume! Something that can be made and is super cool but cheap. I have some ideas but they just seem so lame!

Any ideas? The only restriction is that I can't look too sexy - kind of obvious since I'm working with kids....

How is everyone doing? I'm ok - I have a cold so I'm snotty and feeling yucky but I'm drinking my tea and hoping that it'll soon go away. I don't have time to be sick and I don't want to use my energy on being sick. I'll have to buy some more NeoCitron when I'm back in Canada because that stuff works wonders when I have a cold!!

Other than being all snotty, I'm doing just fine. Work is great and I'm happy for it. I opened up alone on Monday and pretty much yesterday as well (I came early so I got everything set up before the other guy showed up). I'm still feeling a little lost at times but that's normal with new jobs. Sometimes I'm a little unsure of myself but I think all in all things are going good.

I visited Heidi Monday evening in Horsens and we had a good time. Guess what! I found Oreo Cookies in a small grocery store and I totally stocked up! Mmmm, Oreos!! I saw her new home and it's a cute place! It's quite a bit smaller than her old place but very cozy. She also seems happy for her school and come next year, she'll be ready to start in Sweden. Yes, she's moving away from me for a few years but I know she'll be home for some long weekends and I totally want to visit her a long weekend - I've never been to Sweden!

Yesterday evening, I visited Gitte, Morten and their two kids, Magnus and Sophie - it was my first time coming out to their home even though they've been living there for ages now! Magnus is also sick so he was a bit of handful but that's the way things are with kids. But it was great seeing them again - Gitte looks good. Tired but happy. Sophie is the newest addition to their family, she's only around 5 months old and is so cute! I hope to see them again soon!

I have a short shift today at work, only for around 3 hours so I was able to sleep in today and will be able to relax tonight with Anders. It'll be nice to spend some time with him! He's been pretty busy too lately so I'm sure it'll be a quiet night.

Oreos and NeoCitron doesn't taste good together....

I don't really have anything else to write about and since my brain is quite mushy, I'm going to end my post here and get ready for work. I'm waiting anxiously to hear from Jonna or Brian - Mathilde is coming into the world today and I'm very excited for them! Jonna is having a planned C-section and was put into the operating room here at 9am. Wow, I wonder if she was able to at all sleep last night!

Sundays are usually good days for me. Well, when I'm hungover, then it's not fun but luckily that doesn't happen too often anymore. Sundays are when I relax and get stuff done here at home. I get to talk to my parents and my brother on Skype and I usually get to hang out with Anders - eat dinner together, watch movies and just spend some time together. That's exactly what I did today... Slept in, did laundry and cleaned up around here while listening to loud music. Anders came over and we ate dinner together and just hung out until it was time to talk to my parents and brother. After skype, I did some photo work for Norup and the girlgroup and after this post, I'm going to finish up on an art project and then go to bed.

Things are really good here. I'm happy for my new job and I feel very good about it - I think it's going to go really well. I'm not as nervous anymore and I'm getting into the routine of things. I'm finding time to spend with my friends as well so I've been busy between work and a social life! Friday after work, I spent time with Didde - I haven't seen her in months, not since she moved and had a baby so it was wonderful seeing her again. Saturday was the Thaiboxing night and I ate dinner with Tine before we went to see the fights. The fights were actually pretty cool and I saw lots of people I know so that was fun too. My friend, Thomas, unfortunately lost his match but it was still a good fight. I didn't bring my camera but a friend promised me to send some pictures and if they're any good, I'll post some.

After the Thaiboxing thing, we all went to our usual drinking hangout and partied. It was ok but I was quite tired after starting the new job and everything so I took it easy. People were still going strong with the drinking and dancing when I went home at 230am but I wanted to catch up on some sleep. Sleeeeeep........

Tomorrow after work, I'm going to Horsens to visit Heidi and see her new place. I hope to visit Gitte on Tuesday after work and then spend some time with Anders on Wednesday. Friday, a bunch of us will probably be meeting up for coffee and drinks but it won't be anything crazy because Anders' stepdad has invited us all out for dinner on Saturday to celebrate his 50th bday.... Yeah, it's going to be a busy week but a good week.

Rie and Karin working at the school party! It was a good night, lots of kids came and I think they all had fun dancing and just hanging out. I even got dragged out onto the dance floor!

Lise and Rie - Lise is taking over my girlgroup and came with me last Tuesday to our "Photo Shoot" night. The kids liked Lise and she didn't get scared off. This picture was taken on the bus after work and we were tired. The girls can sometimes be a handful!

I just finished my first day at my new job and I am now waiting for the club in Nørup to open. Two different jobs in one day. I'm tired now, not because I've been super busy but because of all the new-job info I got today. Puha, my mind is just racing like crazy right now and I'm glad I have some quiet time alone so everything can sink into place.

I think the new place is going to be good. My co-workers are super nice and I got a good welcome today. Not many kids came today and the ones I did meet were in the 9-13 age group and seemed to be ok with a new person there. One of the kids made me laugh - "why do you talk funny?" I have a key now, all the papers are signed, grand tour, ALL the details - it was a tiresome afternoon. I have Thursday and Friday to get into the groove because I open on Monday pretty much alone. Scary but very exciting.

Off one job and on to the next. Nørup School is having a school party tonight and they have rented our club. As I write this, DJ's are setting up their area- loud music, lights and fog machines. I wonder how many kids are coming tonight...

Tomorrow I don't have work until 1pm so I seriously need to get some shit done at home ie. laundry and dishes and art projects. Work Friday too but it's a short shift. Saturday, there is a Thaiboxing match here in Vejle where one of our good friends has a fight so of course we will all be there to cheer him on. A little pricey but I'll support the local club when I can. I'm sure it'll be fun and hey, if the fights suck, at least we can watch half-naked sweaty men.... Win/win situation! Tee hee, I'm only kidding!!

Gotta go, the people are setting up and I better look like I have stuff to do.
