I'm still having problems uploading pictures... so that's why it's all text and no visual elements!

I'm slowly getting things ready for my big move on Friday. I've ordered my internet (max 2 weeks wait), figured out my tv license, electricity, when I can pick up my key, found a truck to move my things and filled out all the moving forms that have to be handed in tomorrow.

I'm pretty busy this week - today I have to work and finish getting all my school stuff organised. I start classes on Friday and I still need to buy my books. Wednesday, Mia convinced me to go to the gym with her and I have to hand in all the moving papers and stuff. Then we're going to visit my aunt and uncle - free food! They want to see all the pictures from my trip and plus they might have some kitchen stuff for me - way cool! Thursday, I have to work, pick up my key and somehow get out to the "country" for Thomas' 1 year bday - which means I need to find a suitable gift for him. I can't be out that late since Friday morning, I have early classes and I need to print stuff out before classes start - I don't have my own printer yet.... But then at 4pm, I start my big move! Yay me!

Mia came home last night with some awesome news. We have now tickets to Rolling Stones. This Sunday! So it'll be a very busy weekend but super cool - I finally get my own home and we get to see the legendary Stones!

I'm running again - I have things to do and places to be - tee hee, I just have to work soon. Sucks to be me!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATHAN! Today is Nathan's birthday and I wish I was there to celebrate with him. He's a super cool guy and a great friend! Unfortunately, I think blogger is plotting against me, wanting to make my blog-life full of frusterations so I am unable to post a photo tribute to dear Nathan right now. Maybe he should consider himself lucky... (no, I would be nice and wouldn't post anything mean!!)

Nathan, have a great birthday and thank you for a wicked summer!

I hope blogger is working better now because I want to post some of the pictures I have from my last week in Victoria.

I'm doing alright back in DK. I went drinking with a friend and it turned into a late night. Oh well, I couldn't sleep anyways at night so it didn't make much difference that I was out all night. I had a meeting today regarding the youth club and "my kids" and that went ok. I love working with teenagers and the meeting was pretty important for our new season. We don't start until October but it is nice to get a head start on ideas for the new season.

Other than that, nothing much has happened here. Mia and I haven't killed each other and we've been having fun living together, even though it's only been a few days. She starts school again (writing her BA) tomorrow so I'm sure she'll be busy for the next little while. Mia's passion is training and different forms of exercise and she definitely knows her stuff so she's going to help me find something that suits me. Hopefully I'll find something that I like!

I'm pretty busy this week - organizing stuff for my new home and just getting everything sorted. I'm moving on Friday - Yay me! and I'm really excited. This is going to be all good!

OK, I'm writing an email to blogger to hear why I can't upload any pictures lately. It just won't let me and I have so many to post!! I'm sorry guys - I know pictures are a lot more interesting to look at than all this writing!!

I don't know why I'm so unlucky with blogger. I can't upload most of my pictures and these are the only ones I could upload for now... Sorry!
I'm back in DK now - it's 4am and I can't sleep. I went to bed at around 11pm and then woke up at 2:45am, wide awake. I thought it was later in the morning, so I got up and turned on the computer. Nope, it's still in the middle of the night and now I'm being a computer geek.
I'm doing alright. I basically just hung around home (Mia's home - I don't have one yet) until Mia came back from everything she had to do today and then we went out for dinner with Didde. She's still very pregnant but she was due a couple of days ago so her baby boy can come anytime now.
I am so NOT tired right now. Here are the few pictures I could post - from Saturday night with some crazy Canadians!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm back in DK and the flight went ok. It was a long trip and now I'm really feeling really shitty and just want to sleep. Mia picked me up at the airport and had a DK flag with her - too cute!!

I'll write more later, maybe not tomorrow but definitely soon. I miss all you wacky Canucks!!

Last night here in Canada. Tomorrow at this time, I will be somewhere in the air on my way to Amsterdam. At least I hope so - Vancouver Airport security people are striking tomorrow so I really don't know if that'll affect my flight. Cross your fingers, people. It's not because I'm in a hurry to leave Canada but spending time at the airport wasn't exactly my idea of fun.

I have said many goodbyes today and I'm quite sad right now. Yes, I am a bit of a baby when it comes to saying goodbyes but as Glenda mentioned earlier this evening, this time is a bit easier because I know for a fact that I am definitely coming home next year in August. I haven't said goodbye to my parents and that'll be tough. Luckily we talk so much via internet that it doesn't feel like I'm all that far away.

Still, this isn't easy. This evening was like a rollercoaster. It was hard saying bye to Glenda - she's just such an amazing person and a great friend. And she's lucky to have a guy like Nathan - he is a great guy. You guys - the wedding was beautiful and I love you both dearly!

Dan drove me home today and I said my goodbyes to him - I can't believe we went 8 years without seeing each other! This time, I hope we don't lose contact because he's a special guy and a good friend. It was awesome seeing him again.

I haven't had a chance to really say bye to Deedee - I really hope I get a chance to give her a hug tomorrow and tell her how awesome she is... then again, she already knows that she's super cool and that I love her lots.

I've seen several friends over the course of the summer and I will miss them all. Shauna, Chris, Mike, Steve, Christine (and Joel), Leah (and Josh), Rachel and whoever else I missed... (hey, give me a break, it's late here and my brain isn't really functioning all too well)

But tomorrow I'm gone. Luckily I come home to some great friends and I know I won't be alone. I've missed my friends in Denmark and once I get settled in my new apartment Sept 1st, things will get back to "normal".... whatever that is. My new place, school, friends, my new job and everything to do with the youth club and all my "bratty" kids.

August 22, 2006 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEEDEE! I hope you have a wonderful day and enjoy your trip to Hawaii on Thursday. Take lots and lots of pictures!! Here is a little photo tribute to my dearest Deedee.
(don't worry, I won't post any naughty pictures of you)

I love the expression on Deedee's face - she's thinking "Oh Yeah, I'll drink to that" whereas Glenda is like "Oh my god, please go away".

Here's Deedee with her very beautiful daughter, Emma. This is an old picture, Emma will be turning two in October. But I love this picture and wanted everyone to see it!

Another one of my favorites! Deedee, you look so happy!

Fishbowl Bellini's with Deedee!

I love this picture!

Dad is sleeping on the chair, Mom is playing around on her computer and Chris is also busy doing something on the computer and here I am - on the computer...

(I have loads of pictures to add to this post but blogger is acting up and won't accept any of my uploads.)

I'm actually pretty tired. It was a busy weekend, seeing my friends for the last time and picking up last-minutes goods at the local Walmart. Glenda and I can go crazy at Walmart but I think I actually behaved this time. No shoes. (But I was tempted!!)

Friday, I met up with an old friend, Rachel, and we went out for dinner with my brother, Glenda and Nathan. We had some drinks afterwards but nothing too crazy and wild. We were good and it was fun seeing Rachel again! She seems to be doing good and really enjoys experiencing the world by travelling to places like Thailand, Spain, England and even Denmark. I'm glad I caught her while she was here in Victoria!

Saturday, I hung out with Glenda and Nathan and their dog, Thor. He's a freaking huge dog but also friendly. We went for a short hike, went to the beach and then took the dog for a bath. I don't think Thor really likes taking baths! After that, we did some shopping (Walmart!) and then went back to Glenda and Nathan's place. We were planning on having a birthday party for Deeds but unfortunately, she caught a very nasty flu/virus and was forced to cancel. Deeds, it sucks ass that you were sick! I was really looking forward in celebrating your birthday and just hanging out! I hope you feel better soon!

So Glenda, Nathan and I ordered pizza, bought some beer and sat in their backyard but I still had fun. Steve, his roommate and Dan came over and hung around with us. It was a quiet but a fun night. Lots of laughs and it was just really comfortable and relaxing.

I came home to Sooke with Glenda after we had a late breakfast with Nathan and Dan where we swapped all our pictures of her wedding and just hung out with my parents and Chris. He is leaving tomorrow, very early in the morning so this was his last night in Sooke. Tomorrow is my last night in Sooke - my vacation is coming to an end and it's time to return to reality.

Mom, Dad, JC and I took the boat up-island and stayed at Cowichan Bay for a night. This was the first time that we slept on the boat and it was a good trip. We even had the dogs with us and they seemed to do alright. The sun was shining but unfortunately, there wasn't much wind on our trip back to Goldstream so we had to motor it most of the way.

I got really sleepy on the trip back to Goldstream and I guess Spencer did too. We had a nice long nap.

Mom and Charlie - the dogs didn't seem to mind their life-jackets although it must have been quite hot for them.

We're docked at Cowichan Bay and the dogs didn't have to wear their life-jackets.

My mom, Allison and I went to Seattle for a couple of days to meet up with my aunt, Stritte. Four girls just doing our own thing - shopping, walking, eating and a whole lot of laughs. Thank you Mormor and Bebba for making that happen. I haven't seen Stritte in around 12 years and it was definitely a couple of days I'll always remember.

We found a really cool bar/restaurant that was open 24hrs. The waitresses were tattoo'd from head to toe, the cook was kinda scary looking and so were some of the customers. But it was a GREAT place - friendly people and good food for a decent price.

Rie and Stritte - we went to a really big bookstore and I think all of us could go crazy in there and just buy lots of good stuff.

Allison, Rie and Stritte - on the bus after a shopping trip. We were tired and did NOT/could NOT walk back to the hotel.

Allison, Mom and Stritte - they all look very concentrated.

Bridal Party dance - I was laughing so hard at Dan and now I feel bad because I think I traumatized him by laughing so much... Sorry Dan, but it was FUNNY.

Chris and Deedee were awesome!

Glenda is really giving Nathan the evil eye, eh?

A very beautiful and happy Glenda!

I'm going back to DK in a week and honestly, I don't want to think about that. I'm having such a great time here in Victoria and this will be some of the hardest goodbyes yet.

It really sucks ASS having two homes.

Hey everyone! I am slowly getting pictures up from Glenda and Nathan's wedding plus my trip to Seattle but it's taking freaking forever and now I need to go to bed! I'm going sailing with my parents and my brother tomorrow for the weekend and will finish putting all the pictures up when I get back Sunday.

Things are all good here. My brother and I just relaxed today - we were tired - and talked all afternoon about nothing and everything. Our very old neighbours from around 13 years ago dropped by today for a surprise visit - Frankie and Sam. That was just way too funny and we'll be meeting up with them later on in the week for dinner.

I'm running again and I PROMISE, more pictures later!

Glenda and Nathan signing the papers... It's official now!

You may now kiss the bride.... Well, they actually got to kiss a number of times.

Before the bridesmaids and Glenda walks in, the groomsmen and Nathan gathered at the doorway, getting ready to take their places.

Chris walks in first and he does actually look slightly nervous.

Steve was next, then Dan and then Nathan's older brother, Adrian.

This would have been a great picture but unfortunately, Chris was cut out. SORRY CHRIS! I think this is when the girls started to walk down the aisle.
