As some of you might know, I work part-time at a youth club and now also at a evening school/club for young teenagers. This year, along with my usual youth club, I also have a "Girl's Club" and a English class. What I need ideas for is regarding the Girl's Club....
I have around 15 girls in that club, all in the ages 13-15. I have good funding, a boss who lets me make my own decisions and basically do my own thing... I don't know these girls (yet) and I have no idea if they're very "girly" or into sports, or bad-ass pot smoking teenagers... I'm sure you get the idea.
So, how do I go out "entertaining" these girls? Any ideas? I officially work there Tuesday evenings from 6:30-9:30pm (including 1/2 hour break) but I can move it around to when it suits a certain activity - for example, shopping on a Saturday plus movie. So far, I've come up with bowling, shopping, movie, ice-skating, makeup course, pizza night, swimming....
Does anyone have any ideas whatsoever? I'm open to any suggestions and would just greatly appreciate some feedback. What did we do when we were 14 yrs old.... ok, nevermind, I don't want to think about that...

Those are all really good ideas. Hmmm...what did I do at 15? One time my girlfriends and I all got together and had a photoshoot evening. Dressed nice and took pictures of each other. Ummm...dude I am lost. I'll try and think of things way cooler then that.

I'm a nerd and I like to read - maybe a cool gal's book club? Get dressed up and go for a fancy dinner...I love Shauan's idea about picture night, and Christine's DIY clothing!
I've got one. A disposable camera scavenger hunt. You make teams, up to you how many girls on a team and you send them out to take pictures of certain things. But the key is, they all have to be in the pictures so they have to ask strangers to take the pictures for them.
I don't know what landmarks you have around you, but even stupid little random things is fun. Like all of us had to squish in a phone booth, do air guitar infront of the local mcdonalds etc. Then we had to meet back at a certain time to take the disposable cameras in to a one hour photo place. Then we hung out and laughed at all the pictures.
Man I miss my youth group days.
Other ideas:
rent a karaoke machine...always a good time.
I agree with Christine in making stuff, like jewelery or something with beads.
Make shirts with plain shirts and some cloth paint.
Anyway hope any of these help.

Holy crap, guys! Those are some awesome ideas! I want to do some of those things now! I love all those ideas and I especially like the disposable camera scavanger hunt! That's such a great idea! I bet the girl will have a blast and they'll have memories for the rest of their lives. And the crafts night! Love that! This might sound lame but since Christmas is coming up, how about personalized Christmas cards? Get the girls together and make huge "MERRY CHRISTMAS" cards (or however you say it in Danish) and have the girls hold them up and take pictures of them. Then they can use the photo's for Christmas cards. Does that make sense? It works in my head. I'm a geek and I like paper crafts :o)
